Mashed Potato Recipe
How to make Mashed Potatoes? Making mashed potatoes is simple: boil some potatoes, mash them, and then add butter, milk and salt for flavour and texture. My boyfriend likes to eat this with grilled chicken/lamb for dinner.
Prep Time: 5 min
Cook Time: 15 min
Total Time: 20 min
Yield: 2 servings
Ingredients
2 potatoes (approx. 300g)
15g butter
50g milk
1/4 tsp fine sea salt
Instructions
Peel the potatoes and cut into small pieces. Place in a pot and add water. Bring it to a boil and cook for 15 minutes, until tender. Remove from the heat and drain well.
In a bowl, mash the potatoes with a fork/potato masher until smooth. While the potatoes are still warm, add butter, milk and salt to the potatoes and mix them all together.
Storage
You can freeze the mashed potatoes (with or without other ingredients) in airtight containers, freezer bags or vacuum-sealed bags. If properly stored, they will maintain best quality for 2 to 4 weeks.
