Aloe Vera Soap Step 2Please put on gloves and safety goggles first. Measure the temperature of coconut oil with a thermometer, the temperature should be around 30°C to 40°C, if the temperature is lower than 30°C, please heat the oil to reach 30°C to 40°C. Remove the aloe vera ice cubes from the tray and put the cubes in a large bowl. Add lye beads in a few times slowly and keep stirring until complete dissolution. Measure the temperature of lye solution from time to time. The lye solution and coconut oil should be the same temperature or within 10 degrees of each other before mixing.

Aloe Vera Soap Step 3If the temperature is correct, slowly add the lye solution into the oil and mix with a spatula until they are all combined. Blend with a hand blender until trace is achieved. Pour the batter into silicone mould. Let the soap harden for 24 hours, then unmould and leave in a cool, dry and well ventilated place to cure for 4 to 6 weeks. Test the soap with pH test strips before using it to ensure it is fully saponified and is safe to use.
