Ginger Candy Recipe
How to make Ginger Candy? This is an easy recipe for making ginger chews/ candied ginger/ crystallized ginger. This candy is one of my favorite snacks to munch on throughout the day.

Yield: ±200 grams
Wash, peel and cut the ginger into thick slices. Put water (1000g) into a pot. Bring it to a boil. Add ginger. Lower the heat, cover the pot and simmer the ginger for 30 minutes.
Scoop up the ginger with a sieve. Add sugar immediately and stir until the sugar dissolves. Allow it to cool. Cover and let it sit in the refrigerator overnight.
Put everything into a saucepan. Bring it to a boil. Turn the heat to low and stir frequently until most of the liquid evaporates and the sugar crystallizes, approximately 30 minutes. Remove from heat and leave to cool. Once completely cool, you can store the ginger candy in an airtight container.
