Five Red Soup Recipe
Five red soup is a popular Chinese dessert soup that Chinese women like very much. Its main ingredients are red beans, red peanuts (or red lotus seeds), red dates, goji berries and brown sugar, so it is called ‘five red soup’.

Ingredients
200g red beans
60g dried jujube (approx. 16 dried jujube)
40g red lotus seeds (in half & coreless)
10g dried tangerine peel
1200g water
20g goji berries
80g brown sugar
Instructions
Repeated boiling method: Wash the red beans, dried jujube, red lotus seeds and dried tangerine peel. Put them in a pot and add water. Bring it to a boil. Turn off the heat, cover the pot and leave it to cool (at least 30 minutes). After cooling, bring it to a boil again. Turn off the heat and leave it to cool (at least 30 minutes).
Tips: The repeated boiling method helps conserve cooking gas and the red beans can also be cooked through easily.
Bring it to a boil again. Add wolfberry and brown sugar. Cook for another 5 minutes. Serve hot.
