How to make honey lemon? Hate squeezing lemon? Learn a trick here, and you will be able to make honey lemon tea or honey lemon juice quickly and easily – simply soak fresh lemon slices in honey and store in the refrigerator for at least 3 days. Honey has long been used as a pairing with lemon and its natural sweetness is an ideal contrast to sour lemon. Soaking lemon in honey will make the lemon much more palatable; soft and mild. The honey will be thinner; not too sweet, not too sour. You can eat the lemon by themselves (with or without the skin), or use it to make drinks, desserts and even savory dishes such as Honey Lemon Tea (mix it with tea), Honey Lemon Juice (mix it with water), Honey Lemon Yogurt (mix it with yogurt), Honey Lemon Shaved Ice, Honey Lemon Chicken, Sweet and Sour Pork, etc. It can be used as a healthy alternative to jams and syrups too. Drizzle it on top of fruits, pancakes, waffles or toasts. Do not mix it with hot water, as any heating will reduce the aroma, flavor, and nutrition value. Try just slightly warm water (below 40 degrees C). 1 lemon weighs about 120 grams in this recipe. Adding 200 grams of honey gives a good balance between sweetness and sourness. You may adjust the amount of honey according to your preference. Make sure you pour enough honey to cover the lemon. Lemon will float to the surface as it has a lower density than honey. Airtight glass container used for storage needs to be sterilized in boiling water and allowing it to dry before use. Tools such as knife must be clean and dry, better rinse them thoroughly with hot water. In addition, homemade honey lemon contains no preservatives, please finish it as soon as possible before it gets bad. It can be kept in the refrigerator for up to a month if you use a clean and dry spoon every time.
